Third Quarter 2015 Worldwide Semiconductor Equipment Figures; Billings $9.6 Billion (December 7, 2015)
Worldwide semiconductor manufacturing equipment billings reached US$9.6 billion in the third quarter of 2015. The billings figure is 3 percent higher than the second quarter of 2015 and 9 percent higher than the same quarter a year ago.

Silicon Shipment Levels Decline in Third Quarter 2015 (November 11, 2015)
Total silicon wafer area shipments were 2,591 million square inches during the most recent quarter, a 4.1 percent decrease from the record amount of 2,702 million square inches shipped during the previous quarter. 

Continued Annual Growth for Silicon Shipment Volumes...Forecast to Increase in 2015, 2016, and 2017 (October 20, 2015)
The data shows polished and epitaxial silicon shipments totaling 10,042 million square inches in 2015; 10,179 million square inches in 2016; and 10,459 million square inches in 2017. Total wafer shipments this year are expected to exceed the market high set in 2014 and are forecast to continue shipping at record levels in 2016 and 2017.

SEMI Reports Second Quarter 2015 Worldwide Semiconductor Equipment Figures; Billings US$9.4 Billion (Septermber 14, 2015)
The billings figure is 1 percent lower than the first quarter of 2015 and 2 percent lower than the same quarter a year ago as report in the recent release of the SEMI Worldwide Semiconductor Equipment Market Statistics ((WWSEMS) Report.  


Equipment Spending Slows but Still Positive in 2015 and 2016 (September 4, 2015)
Front End fab equipment spending (including new, used, and in-house) is projected to increase 5.0 percent in 2015 (to US$ 37.0 billion) and another 6.6 percent in 2016 (to $39.4 billion) according to most recent edition of the SEMI World Fab Forecast.

Total silicon wafer area shipments were 2,702 million square inches during the most recent quarter, a 2.5 percent increase from the 2,637 million square inches shipped during the previous quarter resulting in a new quarterly volume shipment record.
